Yarning with Jannah | Johl Dunn

“It’s an energy thing. When everything feels like a push and it’s hard work, you’re out of alignment. When everything is flowing and stuff happens for you; like you get random calls, great sales out of the blue, great opportunities come to you - you're in alignment...it’s flowing.”

The proverbial ‘pushing sh*t uphill’ Johl shares, is a very clear signal that you’re out of alignment.

Can relate. I spent this whole Yarning with Jannah nodding, because everything resonated.

In February after a 2 week holiday, I returned home to the very sobering fact I had lost the majority of my market share while I was away, to some new young photographer bucks that had heaps of energy and were cheeeeeeap. Cheeky but I guess they saw my weak spots.

It was a pretty painful experience. There was a part of me which wanted to react; drop my prices to their levels and ‘get them back’ but I know my numbers and I knew it would be a kamikaze mission. There was almost like this grieving process that happened as I watched the destruction of my business and my identity as a ‘photographer’. Sounds super dramatic, like I was watching my favourite pub burn down but I didn’t realise how much of my identity I hung on being a ‘photographer.’ Who am I now?

Spoiler alert, all my clients came back to me. Bless them. But still, the process was pretty eye opening.

Johl Dunn, photographer for over 16 years and mindset master gives us an incredible deep dive into the emotional frequency chart; and helps us to recognise where we are at right now and shares some incredible tips on what we can do to get into a higher level of frequency, accept and weather the sh*t storm and see what the universe is trying to show us.
